A traveler walked on in search of gold,
He walked across the desert seas
and dodged falling boulders, foretold.
The traveler climbed over it, and asked:
“Will I amount to these?”
A traveler walked on in search of gold,
He swam through vast water, naive
To wrestle with the stalwart sharks, so vicariously bold.
The traveler threw back the fish, and asked:
“Will I amount to these?”
A traveler walked on in search of gold,
And came across a mountain, seized.
He sped his way up, from ledge to ledge to hold.
The traveler stood o'er the top, and asked:
“Will I amount to these?”
A traveler took one step more, searching for his gold,
Flew down, and soared with closed eyes, what blessed kiss-
And spread his wings, to become a bird, a floating, wandering soul.
The traveler whispered to the air:
“I amounted to find this!”
